Five Signs Grease Is Building Up in Your Commercial Kitchen
· Luma Commercial Services

Daily cleaning doesn't always reach everything. These are the places grease tends to hide — and what to do about them.
Grease builds gradually, so it's easy to stop noticing it. These five signs usually mean a deeper, targeted clean is due.
1. Floors stay slippery after mopping
A tacky or slick floor after regular cleaning suggests grease has worked into grout and textured tile.
2. A film on walls and backsplashes
Surfaces near the cooking line collect airborne grease that everyday wiping can smear rather than remove.
3. Buildup behind and under equipment
Areas that are hard to reach are often the heaviest — and the easiest to overlook.
4. Grease tracking toward exits and loading areas
Staff and carts carry grease outward, leaving dark paths near back doors and dumpster areas.
5. Lingering odours
Old grease holds odour. If a kitchen smells stale at opening, buildup is a likely cause.
